What a business website needs to do in 2026
A business website is no longer a digital brochure. It is where prospects check you are real, compare you with competitors, read reviews, find your location and decide whether to get in touch. It is also a source that search engines and AI assistants read when deciding which businesses to show. A site that does this badly quietly costs you customers every day.
Professional website design starts with the questions customers are trying to answer, then organises pages, content and calls to action around those questions. What do you offer, how much does it roughly cost, where are you, can I trust you, how do I start. Everything else is secondary.
We also design for the people who run the site. A corporate website or marketing website should be easy for your team to update, with reusable page sections and a content management system that does not require a developer for every change.
Designing for mobile-first and multilingual audiences
Across many of the markets we work in, most visitors arrive on a phone, sometimes on a slower connection or with limited data. Responsive web design for these audiences means more than shrinking a desktop layout. We design mobile screens first, keep pages light, make buttons easy to tap and put the most important action within easy reach.
Many customers also expect to move from the website straight into a conversation. Click-to-call, WhatsApp buttons, directions and simple enquiry forms are part of the design, not an afterthought.
For multilingual websites, we plan language structure from day one: separate, properly linked versions of each page, content that is adapted rather than machine-translated, and layouts that work for longer French text or right-to-left Arabic. This matters for users and for search engines alike.
How we measure a website
A website should be judged by what it contributes to the business. Before launch we agree what success looks like: enquiries, calls, WhatsApp conversations, bookings, quote requests or sales. We then make sure those actions are tracked properly, so you can see which pages and channels are working.
We also look at the fundamentals that shape results: loading speed on mobile, how easily visitors find key information, and whether the site is structured for search visibility. After launch, real behaviour data informs the next round of improvements, rather than opinion.

Questions, answered
How long does it take to design and build a website?
It depends mainly on the number of page types, whether content is ready, how many languages are needed, any integrations such as booking or payments, and how quickly feedback comes back. A focused business website moves much faster than a large multilingual corporate site. We give you a realistic timeline once we understand the scope.
Which CMS will our website use?
We recommend a content management system based on your needs and your team’s skills. That might be a modern headless CMS, WordPress or another platform. What matters is that your team can edit content easily and the site stays fast and secure.
Will we own the website?
Yes. You own your domain, content, design files and the code we write for you. We set up hosting and accounts in your organisation’s name wherever possible, so you are never locked in.
Can you redesign our website without losing our Google rankings?
A redesign always carries some risk to existing visibility, but it can be managed. We map old pages to new ones, set up redirects, preserve valuable content and check the technical SEO before and after launch.
Can the website be in English and French, or other languages?
Yes. We design and build multilingual websites with a proper structure for each language, and we recommend human-reviewed content rather than raw machine translation.
Do you offer website maintenance after launch?
Yes. We offer ongoing support covering updates, security, performance checks and design improvements. You can also manage the site yourself; we provide training at handover.
